Since childhood I have been delighted by geometric shapes and have explored various creative avenues in this field. Having graduated in mathematics in the early 90s, I settled down and had a family, working various jobs along the way.

Lately I have been producing geometrical string art, as this has a tremendous appeal to me. I try to keep the shapes as symmetrically sound as possible as this seems to satisfy my desire for order. I take pleasure in seeing the right things in the right place, and I feel that these works exemplify that aspect of reality. I like the process by which series of straight lines form curved envelopes, which together with the different overlaid colours reveal the underlying symmetries of the pieces.

I like the idea that if there is intelligent life on other planets, they could be producing and appreciating the same kind of art as I am.
